Who we are

This website (https://smartlogisticscalc.com) is operated by Raúl Vaquerizo Tortosa, an individual based in Spain, who is the data controller for the processing described here. For privacy questions contact contact@smartlogisticscalc.com. In this policy, "we" means the operator. Full identification details are in the Legal Notice.

The short version

  • You do not need an account to use the site.
  • Calculator inputs are processed in your browser and are not sent to our servers.
  • Rate cards you choose to save are stored in your own browser only.
  • We show ads from Google AdSense, which may use cookies subject to your consent where consent is required.

Information processed when you use the calculators

All calculations run locally in your web browser using JavaScript. The numbers you enter are not transmitted to us or stored on a server. If you use the "Saved rate cards" feature, the values you choose to save are written to your browser’s local storage on your device. You can delete them at any time with the Delete button or by clearing your browser’s site data.

Information collected by our hosting provider

The site is served through a content delivery network. Like any web server, it receives technical information needed to deliver pages and protect the service, such as your IP address, browser type, requested page and time of request. This information is processed by our hosting provider, Cloudflare, Inc. (Cloudflare Pages), for security and operation of the service and is retained according to that provider’s policies.

Advertising

We use Google AdSense to show advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings, and you can learn how Google uses data at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising ataboutads.info.

Where the law requires consent (for example in the UK, the European Economic Area and Switzerland), advertising cookies are only used after you give consent through our consent management tool. You can change your choice at any time with the "Privacy settings" link in the footer.

Legal bases

Because the operator is established in Spain, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Spanish data protection law apply. We process technical data needed to deliver and secure the site on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a safe, working website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Non-essential cookies and similar technologies, such as those used for advertising or analytics, are only used with your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Article 22(2) of Spain’s Law 34/2002, LSSI-CE), which you can withdraw at any time. When you email us, we use your message and address to reply, on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, and delete them when they are no longer needed.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to processing, to data portability and to withdraw consent. Residents of some US states have rights to know, delete, correct and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information or of targeted advertising. To exercise your rights, emailcontact@smartlogisticscalc.com. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority: the lead authority for this site is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD), and you can also contact the authority where you live, such as the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) in the UK.

International transfers

Our service providers may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses provided by those providers.

Children

This site is intended for businesses and adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect children’s personal data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
